You've got to try the tour. The tasting helped me decide which bourbon was best for my taste. Very good bourbon.

I really like what these guys are doing. They are worth your time to stop and tour the place. Very clean and professional. The 4 spirits we tasted we're smooth but diverse in taste. The last one was a very nice chocolate flavored desert shot.They are going to start making a new one that is an old recipe first used by a Statesville businessman until the 18th Amendment shut them down in the early 1900's. The tour and taste were a delightful break from I-77 traffic. I enjoyed the history and learning how the distillery runs it's liquors.

Very clean and the tour was more comprehensive than other distillery tours I've taken. Our tour guide was great and the group was small. We had ample time to ask any questions, take photos, and look at all of the equipment. They even have a full barrel on display that allows the guides to show what happens to the inside of the barrel during the aging process. The tour comes with a tasting at the end and that was also great.

Had a blast!!! Great people, great distillery, and great whiskey.. What else can your ask for? I highly recommend visiting Southern Distilling. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable not only about the whiskey and the process of making alcohol, but he was able to give information about the history of the land and area surrounding! We had a great time in our extended tour of the facilities which cost $15 a person and includes a tasting at the end. The tour guide Ashley was very nice and knowledgeable. The plant was very clean and will maintained. We were able to walk through the entire facility, which included the warehouse where all the aging bourbon is held. The product was very good. I suggest giving them a try.
