A must-stop if you’re traveling near the I-77/I-40 junction! We weren’t sure what to expect, but Southern Distilling exceeded them all. For $15-$17, the tour and tasting is an absolute steal. It’s a world-class facility that feels like it belongs in Kentucky, right here in Statesville. The Southern Star Double Shot Bourbon Cream is dangerous—we had to buy a bottle to take home. Fast, professional, and very welcoming!

We decided to do the new Cask to Cork your at Southern Distilling. I've done tastings before, but had never thieved directly from the barrel. The whole experience was so much fun! We got to sample different barrels, take notes and select our favorite. After that we got to thief from the barrel and bottle our choice. Matt and his crew were very helpful, informative and personable. My wife is new to the bourbon experience and these guys made her feel so welcome and comfortable. I was already a fan of Southern Star bourbon, but this experience has made me a super fan of the company and many more of their products I had never tasted. We can't wait to return for a whole distillery tour, and to bring our friends for another Cask to Cork!
