A Perfect 10/10 Experience at Southern Distilling! My recent visit to Southern Distilling was nothing short of exceptional, earning a well-deserved 10/10 rating. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that immediately felt both chill and homey. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained, a testament to their dedication to quality in every aspect. What truly elevated this tour to a perfect score, however, was our incredible guide, Nathan. As someone relatively new to the whiskey and bourbon world, I often find it a bit intimidating. Nathan completely dispelled that apprehension. He was incredibly clear, concise, and impressively knowledgeable. I peppered him with technical questions, and he answered each one with a level of detail and precision that I deeply appreciated. He welcomed my "ignorance" with patience and a genuine desire to inform, making the entire experience incredibly educational and engaging without ever feeling overwhelming. His ability to break down complex processes into understandable insights was truly outstanding. The tasting session was equally fantastic. We had the pleasure of sampling their exceptional spirits, and they certainly made an impression! We couldn't leave without taking a few bottles back home to Texas with us. The Founders Reserve and the High Rye Bourbon were instant favorites, and we also snagged a couple of their delicious Double Shot creams – a perfect way to remember such a great visit. The entire staff at Southern Distilling was welcoming and friendly, contributing to that overall inviting vibe. If you're looking for an amazing distillery experience, whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just starting your journey into the world of whiskey and bourbon, I wholeheartedly recommend Southern Distilling. And if you're lucky enough to have Nathan as your guide, prepare for an incredibly informative and enjoyable tour!

Man, I swung by Southern Distilling Company last Sunday, and let me tell ya — this place ain’t just makin’ whiskey, they’re out here runnin’ a five-star bourbon boot camp. I took the tour, learned more in 45 minutes than I did in two years of community college. Turns out 80% of their juice goes to other little distilleries who use their kitchen and stash their barrels like it’s grandma’s root cellar. Makes sense though — place is loaded with big ol’ tanks and gadgets that look like NASA took up drinkin’. Everyone I met was sweeter than a church potluck in July. Southern hospitality turned all the way up. And the whiskey? Buddy… it tasted like a warm bowl of peach cobbler that got baptized in oak barrels. I ain’t lyin’. Smooth enough to sip, strong enough to make you start textin’ your ex “just to check in.” If you’re anywhere near Statesville and don’t stop by, that’s on you. This place is a gem — and not the fancy kind. The kind you find in your granddaddy’s tackle box that’s been good luck since ‘68.

Went on a great tour with my dad where Cannon broke down how the “sausage is made”. He was super informative and able to answer all of my groups questions. We tasted a ton of products and left with a delicious (award winning) bourbon. Before checking out, Patrick really helped us navigate the wide selection of items to purchase so we selected the right stuff. The entire staff was great even Amanda who was bar tending and came out to great us when we walked in to help us check in for our tour.

Great place and best experience here. Alex treated me like royalty. I drove here in a tractor trailer, called ahead and told I could park next to the building. Alex met me outside and directed me around back to the docks to park. Here then walked me through the manufacturing facility and introduced me to the bar tender explaining who I was and that when I was finished I would go back to the docks to nap in my truck. Best high rye I have ever had the pleasure to taste. Don't miss this Distillery, true professionals and very courteous.
