Wow, this distillery is a functioning work if art! FYI you must take a tour to do the tasting. Also, tastings are straight shots ,no mixers. If you want a chaser, bring your own, all they have is water.

Have been to a few distilleries and this was by far the best one. It was really clean inside and even though I’m not a huge bourbon fan I enjoyed everything we tried. It was a good history on North Carolina alcohol laws along with a thorough tour of the history of this brewery.

Awesome. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Bourbon was excellent. Got a history lesson of distilling in NC, specifically Statesville. Then learned about the distilling process and saw all the equipment. Then had a tasting of some of their award winning booze, where the guide answered all my endless questions. Bought five bottles to bring home - should last me a while.

A new distillery, based on heritage. The tour was good, and given by the distiller, but do not compare it to any of the Kentucky distillery tours - they are very new, and are still making a name for themselves. Tasting was good, and the ambiance in the reception are was nice.

If youre a history buff or a brandy or bourbon enthusiast, you'll love this place. The roots of distilling run deep in Statesville, which I did not know. I did however know alot about prohibition, and the tour guide. She knew her history inside and out and answered any question I had. I have never seen such a thorough knowledge on the topic during a tour. They also have an incredible 42 foot distilling tower, the tallest in NC. Then they showed their distilling prowess during the tasting and I was shocked to see how smooth the bourbon was. These guys will become a household name in a few years, I can already tell. Thanks guys, incredible work!
